Parasaurolophus is my favorite dino. I'm not sure why--it's been that way since I was two and first got real obsessed with paleontology. Who wants to go to Alberta with me and dig in the dirt for a while?
Speaking of living things from the Late Cretaceous: plants that have been around since then include roses, magnolias, redwoods, and willow trees. Things like ferns and redwoods seem super ancient, but roses feel...not ~100-66 million years old.
And in case you haven't seen the insane new dino they've discovered: prepare to have your mind blown.
